Interview:freak funebre "Old" to Pagan Hammer zine
01- Greetings, Old !! Finally an interview with his horde Freak funebre, is a pleasure to know we have them in our pages !! Let's start this interview telling our readers how it all started for Freak Funebre and battles as has been hitherto in a general history of his journey ...
Old: Salut is an honor to give this interview
The Freak funebre came in early 2013 when a friend showed it to some drafts of letters that I escrivia without any pretense of having a band even though I had the will, his interest encouraged me and decided to found the Freak funebre who at the time was not a one man band but had this same friend "Creep" that encouraged me. The same would be in charge of the bass and the vocals and guitar and I would do the other parts together.
At first I was in doubt whether the Freak Funebre would be a black metal band or depressive black metal. But I just opting being a band of depressive but with many more to black metal characteristic points as a clear anti Christian stance in my work and the sound with an atmosphere of hatred.
Although I had many dificudades encouraged to make music because I knew nothing about recording and even less editing audio or drum programming then methyl faces to learn and I'm still developing this side the best I can, things worsened when at the end of 2013 I received an invitation from a seal "Funebres lamentos" to launch the first demo that calls itself "the shadows of the night, I die by myself" in that same period of recording music Creep had personal problems and I had to get the guys at all! The band I would compose and play guitar just becoming a one man band, although the difficulties I launched the demo, but the label never sent me some copies and launched poorly released, but not slaughtered me, where I could have improved until the period last year and in February of this year I released by Depressive illusions records my second demo entitled "nictofilia philosophy of my suicide" that came out this demo also by Russian stamp CVLMINIS in cdr-pro and will be released on cdr-pro by light .suffering.domination
I really liked the work of illusions and depressive cvlminis and this second work had ejuda an ally of the scene that gave me a whore force!
02- Nowadays many bands have launched their work in the Cd-demo format (CD-r), the facilities that have formed compared to old K7 tapes, which are taking a toll, and your post is more expensive . Hardly know this format will die, but what is your position on that? Is there any preference on your part, or you prefer to keep the tradition of DT's?
Old: I particularly prefer tapes, but always think about launching also in cdr because besides the cost of the tapes many people do not have a device to rotate the tapes, so that some people who wanted the second we are awaiting its release on cd-r by not where they play the same, but the tape format is very nostalgic and old, and remember the many bands struggle to launch this format, something that always appreciates it and makes me want to throw on tape too.
03- Today it is very common to find hordes who sing in our language. In your opinion is that so?
Old: An interesting point that, singing in their own language becomes a feature of such a band as we can see in Nargaroth with songs in German, becomes a positive point of the band. That makes it original even I do not understand enough English to English lyrics and then opted for portuguese, otherwise I inspired me a lot in the band "Neblina suicida" and all the letters are in portuguese freak funebre.
04- In his first Demo (The Shadows of the Night. Myself I'm dying to ... Demo 2013) was released with limited prints units. All copies have been distributed or warriors can still get a copy of great work?
Old: As I said he was very badly cast and I had not received copies so I did 10 because of an agreement, but I decided to revive this demo on the seal of a great ally the Nardoth Mortus (suicidal Winter Cold negativism, Winter), I decided launch in just 40 hand numbered copies, they are available in misanthropic existence records
05- In his most recent work (Nictofilia, the philosophy of my Suicide Demo 2014) on K7 format. What can you tease us about it, because I have not had the opportunity to meet him.
Old: Well I can say a few things, I draw a lot and I live in what I read and I discussed about depression, disorders, euthanasia and darkness that comes from nictofilia. The funeral is not a freak of depressive black metal band with influence of this new phase of DSBM then her sound is more characteristic to black metal to the DSBM on many points. Have some influences of new bands DSBM, but inspired me more in French bands that fizaram part of les legions noire and black metal bands besides the bands suicidal fog and Xasthur, the demo has 2 instrumental tracks which are well environments style moloch but the other songs have a dirty, aggressive however not very fast and desperate sounding.
06- plans for a release of a CD Debut You already have everything in order for a launch?
Old: Yes for sure, but not right now. I'm working on the lyrics of a material that will be an EP to be released for next year but a full lenght cd or official I intend to launch when I have resources and can record in a studio and are experienced to record and edit audio tracks.

01- Saudações, Old !! Enfim uma entrevista com sua horda Freak Funebre, saiba é um prazer para nós tê-los em nossas páginas!! Iniciemos essa entrevista contando aos nossos leitores como tudo começou para a Freak Funebre e como tem sido as batalhas até então em um histórico geral de sua jornada...

O freak funebre surgiu no inicio de 2013 quando mostrei para um amigo alguns rascunhos de letras que eu escrivia sem nenhuma pretenção de ter uma banda embora eu tivesse vontade, o interesse dele me encorajou e resolvi fundar o freak funebre que na época não era uma one man band mas que contava com este mesmo amigo "Creep" que me encorajou. O mesmo iria se encarregar do baixo e do vocal e eu da guitarra e demais partes fariamos juntos.
No inicio eu estava em duvida se o Freak funebre seria uma banda de black metal ou de depressive black metal. Mas que acabei optando por ser uma banda de depressive porem com muitos pontos mais característicos ao black metal como uma postura clara de anti cristianismo nos meus trabalhos e a sonoridade com uma atmosfera de ódio.
Embora encorajado eu tive muitos dificudades de fazer as musicas pois eu não entendia nada de gravação e menos ainda de edição de audio ou programação de bateria então meti as caras para aprender e ainda estou desenvolvendo esse lado o melhor que posso, a coisa se agravou quando no fim de 2013 recebi um convite de um selo "Funebres lamentos" para lançar a primeira demo que se intitula "as sombras da noite, eu morro por eu mesmo" nesse mesmo periodo de gravação das musicas Creep teve problemas pessoais e eu tive que meter as caras em tudo! A banda em que eu iria compor e tocar guitarra acabara se tornando uma one man band, embora as dificuldades eu lancei a demo, mas o selo nunca me mandou copia alguma e lançou muito mal lançado, mas não me abati, melhorei ate onde pude no periodo do ano passado e em fevereiro deste ano eu lancei pela Depressive illusions records minha segunda demo intitulada " nictofilia a filosofia do meu suicídio" demo esta que saiu tambem pelo selo russo CVLMINIS em cdr-pro e que sera lançado em cdr-pro pela light.suffering.domination
gostei muito do trabalho da depressive illusions e da cvlminis e nesse segundo trabalho tive ejuda de um aliado da cena que me deu uma puta força!
02- Hoje em dia muitas bandas tem optado por lançar seus trabalhos no formato de Cd-demo (CD-r), pelas facilidades que esse formado dispõe se comparado a velhas fitas K7, que estão custando caro, além de sua postagem ser mais cara. Sei que dificilmente este formato morrerá, mas qual sua posição a respeito disso? Existe algum preferencia de sua parte, ou você prefere manter a tradição das DT´s?
Old: Eu particularmente prefiro tapes, mas sempre penso em lançar tambem em cdr pois alem do custo das tapes muitas pessoas não possuem um aparelho para rodar as tapes, tanto que algumas pessoas que queriam a segunda demos estão aguardando seu lançamento em cd-r por não terem onde reproduzir as mesmas, mas o formato tape é bem nostalgico e antigo, e lembra da luta de muitas bandas para lançar neste formato, algo que sempre valoriza a mesma e faz com que eu tambem queira lançar em tape.
03- Hoje é muito comum encontrarmos hordas que cantam em nosso idioma. Na sua opinião a que se deve isso?
Old: Um ponto interessante este, cantar em seu próprio idioma se torna uma caracteristica de tal banda como podemos ver no Nargaroth com musicas em alemão, se torna um ponto positivo da banda. Que a faz ser original Eu mesmo não entendo de inglês o suficiente para fazer letras em inglês e então optei pelo portugês, fora isso eu me inspirei muito na banda "Neblina suicida" e todas as letras do freak funebre são em portugês.
04- Em sua primeira Demo (As Sombras da Noite. Eu Morro por Eu Mesmo...Demo 2013) foi lançadas com cópias limitadas unidades. Todas as cópias já foram distribuídas ou os guerreiros ainda podem conseguir uma cópia de grandioso trabalho?
Old: Como disse ele foi muito mal lançado e eu nao recebi copias so tive 10 que fiz por conta num acordo, mas eu resolvi relançar esta demo no selo de um grande aliado o Nardoth Mortus (Inverno suicida, Cold Negativism, Winter) , resolvi lançar em apenas 40 copias numeradas a mão, elas estão disponiveis na misanthropic existence records
05- Em seu trabalho mais recente (Nictofilia, a filosofia do meu suicídio Demo 2014) em formato K7. O que você pode nos adiantar sobre ele, pois ainda não tive a oportunidade de conhecê-lo.
Old: Bom posso adiantar algumas coisas, eu me inspiro muito no que vivo e no que leio e abordei sobre depressão, disturbios, eutanásia e escuridão que provem da nictofilia. O freak funebre não é uma banda de depressive black metal com influência dessa nova fase do dsbm então o som dela é mais caracteristico ao black metal que ao dsbm em muitos pontos. Tenho algumas influências de bandas novas de dsbm, mas me inspiro mais em bandas francesas que fizaram parte da les legions noire e de bandas de black metal alem das bandas neblina suicida e xasthur, a demo tem 2 faixas instrumentais ao qual são bem ambientes ao estilo moloch mas as demais musicas tem uma sonoridade suja, agressiva porem não muito rapida e desesperadoras.
06- Os planos para um lançamento de um Debut CD Você já possuem tudo em vista para um lançamento?
Old: Sim com certeza, mas não no momento. Eu estou trabalhando nas letras de um material que será um EP com previsão de lançamento para o ano que vem, mas um full lenght ou cd oficial eu pretendo lançar quando eu tiver recursos e puder gravar num estudio e estiver com experiência para gravar e editar as faixas de audio.
